College Football Predictions: Week 14

My selections last week were pretty good. I only missed two games. Of course, I did miss the big one. I thought Texas Tech would at least put on a better showing in Norman.

This week, however, I’ve got all the winners with a couple of unexpected upsets during Rivalry Week:

#3 Oklahoma at #12 Oklahoma State

There will be Bedlam in Stillwater this year. This year’s rivalry game may have the most riding on it in the history of the series. Oklahoma comes into the game with the apparent advantage and fast track in the Big XII South. It’s back. After it appeared that everyone enjoyed the inaugural edition, the Wednesday Workhorse Links (as it will be known until someone helps supply a better name) is back again.

Some great articles that you should check out that I haven’t necessarily had time to write anything about the past two weeks:

* We gave an NFL player his official nickname!! - Falcons’ fullback Ovie Mughelli had a contest on YardBarker because Braylon Edwards said he needed a nickname, and our nickname Ovie “The Drill” Mughelli was selected!

Week 2 College Football Observations

I watched several of the college football games that were televised throughout the day on Saturday. There were some good games, some blowouts, some close calls, and another upset for East Carolina.

I didn’t get to watch much of the late games because I had to go to work, but here are some things I observed about certain players and teams from the games I was able to see:

* East Carolina is no joke. They are a physical squad that wasn’t afraid of West Virginia or their high powered offense. Just like last week against Virginia Tech, they were tougher than their BCS conference foe.
