“Planning Your Sports Vacation” Series Begins Tomorrow
Have you ever wanted to go see your favorite sports team play on the road? How about wanted to make a trip to a historical sports monument or even to the Hall of Fame of your choice?
If you’ve ever entertained the thought of doing any of these or considered any other trip for the purpose of being entertained by sports, we’ve got a great series of posts that will hopefully help eliminate some of the stress that comes with planning the trip and let you actually get to the fun of the trip.
We will begin our 6 part “Planning Your Sports Vacation” series tomorrow with The Destination.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, three of our writers (and three other friends) took a trip to New York City to partake in the spectacle that is Yankee Stadium. Using the knowledge gained throughout the process of this trip, we will help you in the future if you decide to take in a ball game or even go on your own non-romantic, non-beach filled, but much more awesome hot dog and brew filled weekend of sports viewing.
The six parts of the series we plan to discuss:
- The Destination(s) - The main attraction; Getting the most out of your trip
- The Crew - Determining who’s on and who’s off the invite list
- Guide(s) - Human or Computer; What do you want from them?
- Tickets - Where to look? What to consider?
- Sleeping Arrangements - Hotel? Hostel? Car? Friend of a Friend of a Friend’s Uncle?
- Travel - Getting to the destination; getting around town
So if you plan on making a trip in the future, be sure to sign up for updates by RSS or e-mail so that you don’t miss anything.
