Unfortunately, for anyone that was looking forward to our college football observations for Week 6, I was unable to make any observations this week.

I acquiesed the girlfriend and agreed to her last minute decision to go to her cousin’s wedding. The wedding ceremony was supposed to start at 5 PM, but it was being held in Charleston, South Carolina, which is a 5+ hour drive from home.

With her freaking out about not making it on time, that meant we had to leave around 10 in the morning. After running some errands, we got headed in the right direction about 10:30, which had her stressing out the entire drive even though we still had an ETA of over an hour and a half prior to the beginning of the ceremony.

Because we had to leave so early, I didn’t get to watch ESPN College GameDay or any of the early games. We ended up arriving in plenty of time, despite her worries. We met up with her sisters, who had left earlier and already checked into a hotel. When we got to the hotel, I got an opportunity to watch the first couple of minutes of the 3:30 wave of games, but that would be it for the day.

There was a lot of celebrating after the reception, including heading to a club on a hotel rooftop in Charleston, which was pretty neat I do have to say. But the great wedding, reception, dinner, and celebrating meant that we didn’t start back on the road until like 1:30 or 2 AM (yea, we drove straight back), so I missed all of the late games as well.

A few photos we took from the beautiful Magnolia Plantations where the wedding was held:
