The Blue Workhorse Week 4 NFL Power Rankings
This week’s much anticipated Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings have now been posted by our buddy James over at NE Patriots Draft. As happens each week James, The Sports Dollar, My Sports Rumors, World of Isaac, and our site have ranked each of the 32 NFL teams from top to bottom.
With Dallas losing to division rival Washington, how far did the Cowboys drop? How big of a rise did the Redskins get as a result? And who takes over the #1 spot? Find out where your favorite NFL team ranks this week: Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings.
In the mean time, here are our rankings for the Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings. Unlike, the other individual sites, we have multiple opinions combining to form our rankings as each of our four writers rank the teams, which combined form The Blue Workhorse NFL Power Rankings: Week Four.

Some things to note from this week’s NFL power rankings:
- Last week, we had eleven teams move up or down at least 5 spots. This week…only five.
- With Dallas losing, we have a new #1, but who is it? New York, Tennessee, Buffalo? Or a team that has a loss?
- In Top 10 news, Washington and Carolina leap into the land of the best; Philadelphia and Denver nearly fall out; and New England and Green Bay exit.
- Speaking of the Redskins, they move up 7 spots this week, yet they aren’t the biggest gainer. Who is? Da Bears. Chicago got an impressive win over Philadelphia in Sunday night’s primetime game and moved up 8 spots.
- On the opposite end of the spectrum is Philly and Green Bay. The Eagles and Packers both lose 6 spots after losing games we expected them to win.
What the Voters Have to Say:
- DRang: “Chicago got a big win Sunday night, but Kyle Orton has to protect the ball better for the Bears to compete for the NFC North division title.”
- Heisman: “I may fall asleep while watching the Titans, but I always wake up watching Fisher celebrating another win. Hate to say something like this, but Young’s injury is the best thing to happen to the Titans.”
- Rosenblogger: “Despite their slip up, the Dallas Cowboys are still the best team in the NFL.”
- Shotgun Spratling: “I dropped Pittsburgh to #9 even though they won because they are just so banged up right now (Willie Parker, Rashard Mendenhall, Roethlisberger, offensive lineman, 3 defensive lineman, multiple linebackers). Injuries are quickly becoming the most important stat in football (college and pro).”
