The Blue Workhorse Week 3 NFL Power Rankings
After a little bit of a delay, this week’s much anticipated Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings have now been posted by our buddy James over at NE Patriots Draft. As happens each week James, The Sports Dollar, My Sports Rumors, World of Isaac, and our site have ranked each of the 32 NFL teams.
With the Cowboys still the unanimous #1 selection by everyone, the Giants undefeated, and the Eagles coming off a 15-9 win over last week’s #2 Pittsburgh, could it be possible the beast conference that is the NFC East could have the top three teams in the Sports Blog Power Rankings? Find out where your favorite NFL team ranks this week: Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings.
In the mean time, here are our rankings for the Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings. Unlike, the other individual sites, we have multiple opinions combining to form our rankings as each of our four writers rank the teams, which combined form The Blue Workhorse NFL Power Rankings: Week Three.

Some things to note from this week’s NFL power rankings:
- Lots of movement and lots of big movers. Eleven teams move up or down at least 5 spots.
- The Chargers seem to make a big move every week. Last week, they fell 6 spots after falling to 0-2 on the season, but after an impressive Monday night win over the New York Bretts, San Diego vaults forward 5 spots and back into the top 10.
- Despite losing to in-state foe Philadelphia, the Steelers remained in the Top 5.
- With Philly’s big win, the Titans 3-0 start behind their strong D, and Washington’s resurgence after their pitiful opening night performance, each of the aforementioned teams moved up 6 spots and can lay a claim to being the biggest climber of the week.
- Traditional AFC powers Indianapolis and New England both dropped 5 spots or more, but it is the supposed up-and-coming Cleveland Browns that fall a whopping 7 spots after their 0-3 start.
What the Voters Have to Say:
- DRang: “Peyton Manning’s knee injury is limiting the offense. He just is not as quick getting the ball to Joseph Addai on the zone stretch play.”
- Heisman: “At this time, Al Davis has not told me that I am not the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. Therefore, I will be conducting my daily activities as though I am the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.”
- Rosenblogger: “The Tennessee Titans have built a two game lead behind a strong rushing attack, tremendous defense, and solid decision making by Kerry Collins. They also have a favorable schedule.”
- Shotgun Spratling: “What did the Browns do to deserve this schedule? Cleveland only plays two teams that are outside our top 18. Thankfully, one of those teams is Cincinnati, who they play twice, including this weekend.”
