Give the Kid a Chance

John Adams has solidified his position as the sports journalism community’s biggest imbecile.

Luckily, he is buried in the small market of Knoxville where only orange-colored-glasses wearing readers are subjected to his absurdity. Adams latest display of ignorance and arrogance is his recent article on Tennessee’s signing of Knoxville Catholic High School prep standout Daniel Hood. According to Adams, if Lane Kiffin wants to maintain any credibility he should automatically disqualify Hood from any oppotunity at a football scholarship because of his troubled past so that Kiffin distances himself from the off the field woes of the Phillip Fulmer era.

And frankly, Adams is about as qualified to comment on this situation as Barack Obama is to run a car company.

Blue Word o’ the Day 2/28 (CONTEST)

hidebound \HAHYD-bound\, adjective:

1. stubbornly conservative
2. narrow and rigid in opinion; inflexible

Usage

One reason Urban Meyer has been so successful earlier in his career is because, unlike many veteran “old school” coaches, he doesn’t fall into the trap of hidebound playcalling when trying to hold onto a lead late.
CONTEST:

In order to win, your job is to come up with the funniest example sentence(s) using the day’s word. Therefore, all you have to do to enter is leave a comment with your example sentence.

Big 12 South Arrested & Charged with Fraud

All we heard about this college football season was the gunslingers from the West and the high-powered, high-oiled Big 12 South offensive machines. Choke-lahoma regularly scoring 40 in the first half, the resurgence of Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and the “Air Raid”, Texas and Colt McCoy putting up massive numbers.

Every Saturday night (it seemed), we had to watch each installment of the Big 12 South showdowns. Brent Musberger roaring about the offensive proficiency and how good these teams seemed to be. This season was the Big 12’s moment. This was their time to shine….

Until the bowl season came upon us.

Boston College: Please Hire Me

Jeff Jagodzinski is an idiot.

He has every right to be an idiot, but that does not make him any less of an idiot. He put himself in the position to lose a job where he has been in the conference championship the past two years just to interview for a job, I believe, he has no chance of getting.
