It's that time of year again. Heisman Trophy time! Like last year when we awarded the first annual Sports Blog Heisman Trophy, I'm hoping to put together a vote for this year's Sports Blog Heisman Trophy Winner with 5-10 minutes of your help. If you follow college football, then you know that the Heisman Trophy is to be presented to the FBS college football player of the year this weekend. What I'm hoping to do is to compile a sample (as large as possible) of who Sports Bloggers would cast their ballot for if they indeed had a Heisman Trophy ballot.
Here's all I need for you to do: ** Use our Contact Page or

me a Heisman ballot (#1-3). If possible, add 1-3 sentences on why your #1 is your #1. ** If you'd like, you can also add an honorable mention that won't receive any points.
** I also need you to decide which region you represent: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, Far West (so I can do a breakdown of the votes at the end).
** Make sure to include your name and website address in the e-mail, so that I can properly give you credit and send back some link love.
Try to get me your ballot by Tuesday or Wednesday, so I have time to compile the votes. Feel free to think outside of the box a little bit. Just because Ingram, McCoy, Tebow, and Gerhart are who the media says are candidates, don't be afraid to make a different selection...just be able to justify your selection (if need be). I will then tally all of the responses I get with each #1 getting 3 points, #2 getting 2 points, and #3 getting 1 point, put the results in a table, and then officially declare the 2009 Sports Blog Heisman Trophy Winner (hopefully on Thursday). Simple stuff. Feel free to e-mail this to any other sports bloggers, who you think would be willing to participate.
Thanks for helping out and participating.

#2 Colt McCoy - Played well most of the year passing as well as rushing. Simply not knowing certain rules and poor performance in Big 12 Championship Game gets him #2.
Winner - Mark Ingram - Dominated teams all year and played especially well when it mattered against Florida and made Tim Tebow cry.
Honorable Mention - Brandon Graham because he is a beast.
