Earlier in the playoffs, the Atlanta Hawks, my Atlanta Hawks, lost to the eventual Eastern Conference champs, the Boston Celtics. Now, those same Celtics are primed to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals, which are set to begin tonight.

During the Celtics/Hawks series, I was able to attend two of Atlanta’s home games and wrote three articles pertaining to the series and my observations throughout the series, including Why the Hawks Will Ruin the Celtics Title Hopes, which nearly made me a prognosticating genius after the Game 4 scuffle between Kevin Garnett and Zaza Pachulia.

After that article and my 33 Observations from Celtics/Hawks Series, I received feedback/debate from writers of the Sports of Boston web site, and developed a friendly rivalry and relationship based on our opposing views.

So when K.C. from Sports of Boston asked me to give my outside perspective on the NBA Finals for their extensive coverage of Boston’s first championship appearance since 1987, I jumped at the opportunity.

For my first ever guest post, I broke down six different matchups that will help determine this year’s champion. In conclusion, I chose who would win each of the matchups and made my NBA Finals prediction on who would wind up carrying around the big golden trophy.
