This week’s Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings have now been posted by our buddy James over at NE Patriots Draft. Along with James, The Sports Dollar, My Sports Rumors, World of Isaac, and our site have ranked all 32 NFL teams.

After their wild 41-37 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles (last week’s #3 team), the Dallas Cowboys are again the unanimous #1 selection. Pittsburgh is again #2, but there definitely has been some shuffling beyond the #2 spot. Find out where your favorite NFL team ranks this week: Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings.

In the mean time, here are our rankings for the Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings. Unlike, the other individual sites, we have multiple opinions combining to form our rankings as each of our four writers rank the teams, which combined form The Blue Workhorse NFL Power Rankings: Week Two.

If you have forgotten how we ranked the teams before the season, check out last week’s Preseason NFL Power Rankings from a couple of weeks ago and see the drastic differences.

Some things to note from this week’s NFL power rankings:

  • While there was much movement in the combined Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings, our rankings look eerily similar at the top.
  • The Denver Broncos, aided by referee Ed Hoculi’s error and a gutsy call by coach Mike Shanahan, jump 7 spots and move into the Top 10 at #7. They are one of only two new teams, along with Buffalo, in the Top 10.
  • Despite losing to rival Dallas, the Eagles remained in the Top 10 dropping only one spot.
  • While they didn’t make as big a jump as Denver, the Oakland Raiders did gain 5 spots and, more importantly, got out of the cellar thanks to an impressive day by Darren McFadden.
  • The Seattle Seahawks continued their free fall sliding 5 spots, but the San Diego Chargers are the winners of the biggest loser award. After falling to 0-2 on the season, they fell 6 spots and out of the Top 10 in our rankings.

What the Voters Have to Say:

  • DRang: Dallas got a great win on Monday night. Tony Romo and TO look a lot like Montana and Rice.
  • Heisman: There are several just very bad football teams that have surfaced in the first two week of the season. The Bengals, Chiefs, Raiders, and Rams I believe will struggle to win 3 games this year. The next tier consisting of the Ravens, Bears, Redskins, and Falcons will struggle to win 6 games.  I love what Mike Shanahan and Dick Jauron are doing. I hope both of these guys get to enjoy the 2008 postseason.  Oh yeah, I hate Brett Favre more than any player I have ever hated in my life.
  • Rosenblogger:  The San Diego Chargers have dug themselves a hole, but they will be in the mix later in the season.
  • Shotgun Spratling: The Washington Redskins, and particularly Jason Campbell, looked a lot better in Week 2. Is it possible that the NFC East, which is undoubtedly the best division in the NFL, could actually be a 4 team race?
