Our friend James over at NE Patriots Draft asked us to participate in his “Sports Blog NFL Power Rankings,” and naturally, we jumped at the opportunity to show off our advanced abilities at ranking teams (or something like that).

James has each person’s rankings listed and something interesting that each person had to say. Needless to say, however, our rankings are a little bit different than the other 4 blogs that participated. While the Cowboys topped our rankings, see who topped everyone else’s list.

Here are our rankings and below are what we had to say about some select teams:

  1. Dallas Cowboys
  2. New England Patriots
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars
  4. San Diego Chargers
  5. Pittsburgh Steelers
  6. Indianapolis Colts
  7. New York Giants
  8. Cleveland Browns
  9. Minnesota Vikings
  10. Washington Redskins
  11. Seattle Seahawks
  12. Houston Texans
  13. Arizona Cardinals
  14. Tennessee Titans
  15. New Orleans Saints
  16. Denver Broncos
  17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  18. San Francisco 49ers
  19. Carolina Panthers
  20. Detroit Lions
  21. Philadelphia Eagles
  22. Kansas City Chiefs
  23. Cincinnati Bengals
  24. Green Bay Packers
  25. Baltimore Ravens
  26. Oakland Raiders
  27. Chicago Bears
  28. St. Louis Rams
  29. Buffalo Bills
  30. Atlanta Falcons
  31. New York Jets
  32. Miami Dolphins

1. Dallas Cowboys – I think this is their year…if they don’t implode due to egos first.
6. Indianapolis Colts – Every year, every team has injuries, but the Colts seem to have those injuries occur to key players critical to the team’s success (i.e.: Freeney, Sanders, Harrison in the past and Manning now).
12.
Houston Texans – Don’t sleep on the Texans. They went 8-8 last season, and that was without the services of one of the most underrated wide receivers in the game, Andre Johnson, for most of the season.
18.
San Francisco 49ers – With the additions of Issac Bruce and Justin Smith, plus a healthy Alex Smith, this team could surprise some folks.
24.
Green Bay Packers – I’m ranking the Pack Favre-less, which makes them at best a .500 squad.
26.
Oakland Raiders – Darren McFadden will at least make them entertaining to watch. Plus, Gibril Wilson makes their defense even stronger.
30.
Atlanta Falcons – We got our new face of the franchise…but how long until he produces as well as the last face of the franchise.
32.
Miami Dolphins – After having a 1-15 record last season, Miami basically added only Bill Parcells and #1 overall pick Jake Long. Maybe a future addition of Brett Favre can bring them up on this list but as of now they sit at the bottom.
